Bran – Moieciu

Bran (German: Törzburg; Hungarian: Törcsvár) is a commune in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania. It is located approximately 25 kilometers southwest of Brașov and is made up of five villages. It is part of the historical sub-region of Țara Bârsei (Burzenland).

The historic Bran Castle is a famous tourist site, thanks in part to its association with Dracula’s residence in Bram Stoker’s book of the same name. Early in the 13th century, the Teutonic Order began constructing a wooden fort called Dietrichstein here.

Moieciu (German: Mösch; Hungarian: Alsómoécs) is a commune in the Romanian Transylvanian county of Brașov. It is located in the Bran Pass, 29 kilometers south of Brașov.

Today, the two places are highly visited by Dracula-enthusiastic tourists and are especially beautiful to be visited in the autumn.

I took these pictures back in October 2017.
