My exhibition Les couleurs de la joie (The Colors of Joy) was part of the Apollonia Cultural Bank project, organized by the Brașov Philharmonic and the Town Hall of Brașov. It was launched in December 2022 and continued throughout January 2023. On the very first day, the exhibition attracted over 5,000 visitors, with many more following in the days to come. The official presentation took place on December 30, and I was pleasantly surprised to see so many familiar faces from my childhood—people I used to meet during winter as a child. Some of them even brought their own children to the exhibition, which made the experience even more special. I was also thrilled to receive so much support from newer acquaintances, as well as to meet many others for the first time.

It was exciting to see so many people taking photos and filming – I saw that a girl even did a dance between the exhibits in one of the later days, and I was proud to see that Les couleurs de la joie became the most successful exhibition in the Apollonia Cultural Bank project.
The exhibition featured vibrant, colorful images that I captured along the Côte d’Azur, from Monaco to cities like Cannes and Nice, as well as Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Èze, and Menton. I spoke about the importance of the colors and shapes that surround us, and how understanding our environment is essential to our well-being.

It was particularly gratifying to read the messages left by visitors in the exhibition notebook, including those from people who lived in Menton, one of the cities featured in my work.
Looking back, I often joke that I should get an endorsement from the Côte d’Azur tourism board, as many people I know were inspired by the exhibition to actually visit the region.

Later, I was pleased to remix the exhibition into Azure Reflections, which adorned the walls of the Patria Hall in Brașov between January and June 2024.
