There was an unusual snowfall in 2017. Snow fell heavily during the day and night during the end of April, almost on May 1. The entire city was covered with heavy, tall snow in roughly one day, including the flowering trees and verdant gardens. What struck me as peculiar was that, while everything appeared to be in deep winter, the sunlight was typical of a May evening. In many ways, it resembled what I picture a polar summer to be like, except that it was in Eastern Europe in the spring.
